Standard

Wow, another pair off the needles. I had expected my knitting to slow down over the summer but these socks were just so addictive that they flew off the needles.

The pattern is Mixalot Socks by the fantabulous Rachel Coopey. Its a great pattern with endless possibilities. There are four different pattern blocks in each of the three sizes, so you can mix and match as you please.

The yarn is the July Toddy Sevens from The Yarn Yard CJP club. These are by far my favourite sevens ever. The colours were so beautiful that I knew they had to be something special!

I wasn’t totally convinced that i would have enough yarn to do both heels in the same colour so I chose my two fave colours and did one in each.

There is one downside to these beautiful socks…………

  1. I wondered if you were making those from one amazing skein, or if there would be ends in yoru future. Those socks look like they are worth it, though. Just gorgeous.

      • I hate weaving in ends. I did a striped blanket CAL last summer, and Hannah the amazing reminded us each week to weave in the ends as we went. I did, and it taught me a lesson I try to keep in mind. Now I weave in the ends on sock one before I call it done and start sock two. But I haven’t done one with all those colors, so who knows what would happen then!

  2. The socks are really special. Have downloaded the pattern straight away – I love all the socks you have kitted and feel totally enabled – if I could only somehow generate an extra hour (or two :-) each day!
